I see you are in Warrenville, IL... I live in Plainfield and I went to a doctor in Chicago. Yes I would travel overthere but it was worth it for me. I delivered at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Downtown Chicago and I had the best of Midwifes. If you are willing to commute send me a message and I will pass you the information. They are all bilingual and are very caring and nurturing.

Let your insurance company know you need a Spanish speaking doctor, they may be able to help you.

Call your insurance for a list of docs. Most of them will list next to them "Bi-lingual - Spanish." I would also check into spanish clinics (we have them all over california). That way the majority of staff is bilingual and you can get answers on everything, including your medical insurance, billing, etc. Everyone is scared about their pregnancy at some point during the 9 months, so dont worry. Finding a doctor you are comfortable with is a great start! I hope you get a good one soon. Good Luck! =)

I second the recommendation for Dr. George Banuelos in Naperville. He delivered both my children( 4 and 9 months) and he is great. He is very good, knows his stuff and is completely honest and will take the time to answer all your questions. His staff is wonderful and always helpful. He is affiliated with both Edwards and Good Sam Hospital. Good luck.

I was 34 when I had my 2nd daughter & I was stilil scared. What i would suggest is that you contact the hospital you want to have the baby at and call to see if you can get a listing or a directory of dr's that would speak Spanish. You will be okay, just remind yourself of that and knowing that you have your family's support is a big part of it all. That's one part of our lives that we never really outgrow. Good luck!
