Ok here is the question does anyone know of any good prepaid legal out there or a decent lawyer for my situation cause when me and my ex seperated after 11 years we had a truck in both are name which he left me with knowing I could not afford it alone(house,truck and all the bills plus food without a job )he still moved out and left me and my two kids knowing I had no job so I had to let my truck go back and it was thru ford but even though I gave the truck back which was in great condtion they are taking us to court and have no clue how to fight it so if any sugestions would be greatly appreciated...cause Im still un employed and dont have any kid of money for a lawyer!!!!!

call the Tarrant County Bar Association and see if they have any kind of pro-bono domestic attorney service programs.

They could also just be bluffing..... to see if you'll hand them over any money, they might be trying to scare you with legal action.

If you can't find free help from a lawyer. Just go to court and do your best to be honest and forthright. That doesn't mean you have to spill your guts, just keep it simple.

Bring any documentation or notes you have about your payment history, who you gave the truck to (did you give them a letter explaining? If so bring a copy.), and a copy of any unemployment record you have.

It costs them money to take you to court, so hopefully they'll drop it.

well I dont have any lawyer advise or you, but I do know that i you stay in TX no matter what the outcome they cant garnish your wages over this matter. I hope you get yourself situated and settled and good luck.
