I am looking for ideas, we have to make a healthy snack to share with the class. I have to make it for 19 kids, and would like something fun, and healthy at the same time, if that can happen! :)

Thanks Mama's!!

ants on a log - peanut butter on celery with raisins on it.
Yogurt parfaits - layer yogurt, bananas, berries in a dixie cup and top with dry cereal or granola
string cheese and apple slices
moms at our sporting events usually bring gogurt and goldfish or something like that

2 years ago one of my daughters asked me to bring carrots and apples as her 'birthday treat' to share with the class. So I brought a bunch of sliced apples and baby carrots and a bottle of ranch dressing and she helped me pass out the goodies ("raise your hand if you want ranch dressing for your carrots") and her classmates ate it up :-).
other ideas - make a trail mix/party mix with things like goldfish crackers, chex-type cereal, raisins/dried cranberries, small pretzels, M & Ms(if there are no nut allergies - even the plain ones are a no-no for kids with severe peanut allergies), or a fruit salad with grapes, bananas, melon balls, etc.

Visit parents.com (the magazine) and get some ideas there. I saw them turn a green peppers into an octopus by cutting one open and turning it over for the body, then slicing thin legs out of another pepper and laying it out on a platter spread with yummy dip (sorry, not best description, but the kids loved it!)

Also, something with Ritz crackers and some cool, healthy toppings could be neat. Make ladybugs with cream cheese and raisins or something along those lines on top of the cracker. I got this idea from Kraft. I think they use jelly for the dots, but you could try other things too. You could add this to the "ants on a log" idea!

I don't know how old the kids are, but for my daughters 7th birthday this summer, they made their own fruit kabobs. I bought the precut pineapple because I could see the ripeness, strawberries, grapes, and watermelon. They loved that they could make their own. Some had skewers of just one fruit, others had variety, but they all had exactly what they wanted to eat.

Have fun!

Get a couple bags of tortilla breads. Get a pound of minced beef. Season to taste. Maybe buy a bag of shredded lettuce and cheese

Cook the beef, add the cheese and lettuce and roll it in the warm tortilla breads.
