Sounds perfect! Do the sprinkling at school, so those who don't want/can't have it don't have to. I think this is a great idea!
My daughter's preschool normally provides snacks for snacktime. In May, they are asking parents to sign up to bring a healthy snack one day during the month. One thing my kids and I do for dessert is banana slices with little sprinkling of Nesquick chocolate mix on top. I thought that might be a fun and different snack to bring. Does that sound healthy to you?

As far as allergies go, there is only one child on a gluten free diet. Her mother is responsible for providing her snacks at all times. The preschool is a peanut free campus, so that is the only thing we are not allowed to bring. The Nesquick mix has no high fructose corn syrup and only 13 grams of sugar per 2 tablespoons....which will be more than enough for all the banana slices. I do realize fruit is healthier by itself and at our house we use the bananas with chocolate as a dessert, but I thought it would help some of the pickier kids eat the bananas. I don't want to be the mom that brings the unhealthy snacks, but I also don't want to be the one that brings the snacks that nobody touches :-) Preschoolers are a difficult bunch to please!!!! If anyone has a recipe for homemade dry chocolate mix I would be happy to hear it. I have searched the Internet and have not been able to find anything.

Do you know if the parents are coordinating the snacks so there isn't much redundancy - or, are the teachers in the class providing a calendar?
Healthy usually walks us down the road of fruits, vegetables.
I sold Diabetes medications to doctors for many years and often had to help them offer healthy choices to patients (I am not a dietician).
Weight watchers has a lot of great, healthier options they recommend to people.
It can be something as easy as sugar-free jell-o cups (10 calories) and whipped cream (which is ALL low-carb, even the extra creamy varieties).
Another example is their version of ice cream sandwiches: graham crackers frozen with Cool Whip in the middle.
There's even a recipe for what appears to be a graham cracker version of strawberry shortcakes on the box of Nabisco Grahams that is a healthy alternative.
I'd ask the teachers if there are any known food allergies and use that as a basis of your decision.

Yes! Another idea that my daughter's preschool class always enjoyed was fruit kebabs!
Banana slices tossed in crushed graham crackers. You could add the Quick in for some extra flavor too!
It does yes , it's mainly fruit with a sprinkle of choc powder so the kids will love it.
Sounds good to me. One suggestion, keep a few that aren't sprinkled just in case there's any medical reasons a particular child can't have chocolate.
Do any of the kids have allergies in the class? The chocolate mix might not work for some of those kids. We just posted a recipe for pumpkin muffins that are allergy-safe on our website. I love when parents bring snacks that are allergen free - and for me, I love gluten free. The sprinkling of the chocolate is something the kids can help with too, which makes the preparation fun for them! So this snack gets a thumbs up from this mom!
I did cheese kabobs and pretzel sticks and juice boxes for my kids class. be careful with chocolate as you never know when there is an allergy.
For those trying to avoid high fructose corn syrup and extra sugar, maybe you could avoid the chocolate dust. Bananas are plenty sweet.

I think fruit is always a good idea.
And a little chocolate isn't bad.
We take strawberries, cheese whips and bunny grahams(teddy grahams) and they are a super big hit.
Sounds delicious! If you are feeling less adventurous or find yourself in a time crunch, pretzels are always welcome as a "healthy" snack. Also sliced apples. But your bananas sure sound delish!
