when my daughter was this age, i'd usually cut up strawberries, kiwi's, banana's,mango's cherries, etc.., pair them with cubes of mild cheese or cottage cheese, some sliced avocado, crackers, little diced tomatoes, a sliced hardboiled egg, the important thing to keep in mind is that babies this age need little protien, and calcium because of all the milk they already ingest, so a little bit of cheese with a meal is sufficient. If your child already drinks juice then little fruit is also needed. carbohydrates and veggies may be all he needs. My daughter wouldn't eat her veggies at this age, i took notice and starting adding vegetable juice in small parts to her regular juice. Also as long as the food the rest of the family is eating isn't to spicy, or doesn't contain allergy sensitive ingredients (like peanuts, or onions) then he may love eating what the rest of you eat, although you may need to dice it up or turn it into mush in a food processor.
