There are a lot of ideas already. I am a big fan of sneaking in vegies. My son is also more willing to eat anything as long as there is dip, so I use everything from BBQ sause, honey, Ranch, Tahini, Humus, etc with each meal.

But I just wanted to tell you not forget snacks. I am a big fan of raisins, banana chips, dried fruit, soy beans, nuts, cereal & fiber bars. And my son eats and asks for these things. Also I buy the juice with fruit and vegetable servings like V8 fusion and the Fresh & Easy version.

Hello D.,

You're on the right track by asking for help.

Spinach is a great source for iron and is easy to cook.

Your 3 year old cannot cook her own food or choose it, she isn't eating right because she isn't being offered good food. Please make her your PRIORITY and give her good food.
Here are my suggestions...

Breakfast ideas:
1 - oatmeal drizzled with honey and piece of fruit
2 - toast with a side of egg and piece of fruit

Lunch ideas:
1 - spaghetti with mixed veggies on the side (peaces and shopped carrots - you can buy frozen, very easy to cook)
2 - beans with avocado on top

Dinner ideas:
1 - small piece of fish, with rice on the side and steamed carrots or broccoli or spinach.

Was your daughter's "anemia" actually diagnosed by the Pediatrician? You should really ask the Doctor about what to do, and ask for recommendations perhaps for a vitamin WITH iron in it.
If anemia was not diagnosed in your child and its just what you think, then too much iron is not healthy either.

As babies/toddlers, my kids had a prescription liquid vitamin called "Polyvitamin" WITH iron.

I would really ask your daughter's Doctor.
Usually, a Doctor will tell you what foods to feed her and what to do about it, and the prognosis. Especially if Anemia is a concern.

You can sneak a lot of healthful stuff into a breakfast smoothie. (Just be careful not to add so much fruit it continues a sugar addiction) Lots of recipes online.
Good luck.

PS Sauces and dips makes veggies more appealing.

My son used to be so picky and wouldn't eat vegetables and most fruits too, but thanks to one morning at.Denny's he ate his whole smiley face pancake. Then it dawned on me, make faces. I did that with salad where it was a green monster with olive eyes, carot slices for hair, broccoli horns and other stuff I threw on. I did that with every meal for about 6 months until he asked for more eyes, or more hair please, and the rest is history. I get many comments on how great he eats his vegetables and fruit. He does still love hotdogs, but he loves carrots just as much. Good luck and have fun. Start with yogurt with cereal for eyes and hair and fruit cut outs for the rest of the hair. It was my first hit. Happy new year too!!

I agree about sneaking healthy foods in her other foods. I would also suggest looking into the product that I distribute. It is called Juice Plus and it is a whole-food based chewie. They don't use pesticides or chemicals and they have a children's study that has had great results. My daughter has used it since she was 2. I have been on the adult version for my multiple sclerosis and have also had great results. The body needs proper nutrition to develop and grow correctly. The Jessica Seinfeld book is great. It used to be available at Costco, not sure if it still is.
