Has any one ever had heal spurs or pain in the heal that maybe turned out to be a ligament strain? If so can you tell me how to get rid of it? I have had this pain for over 3 weeks now and is painful when I try to workout on it.

What can I do next?

It is probably planter faciitis but you should have it checked out to be sure. There are special excercises to do you can find them on line also you need to wear shoes all the time my Doctor told me to wear them unless I was in the shower or asleep. I got a special brace to wear at night, my insurance covered it. Putting ice on it at night helps a lot too. It can last a very long time like a year or better. Mine started in July last year and I am still having problems but only when I don't wear my shoes and do a lot of cooking. I feel for you it is painful.

You should see a podiatrist. Sometimes a cortisone shot will ease the pain. You should have an x-ray to confirm the diagnosis.

I have had heel pain. I bought the Skechers Shape Up shoes and they helped a lot! Also I find joging in place is easier than running or walking because I land on my toe first. Mine was plantar fascitis, but it could be other causes. If you can go to a specialist.

My husband has heal spurs. He had to take anti-inflammatories and have orthotics crafted for his feet.

Both of us have extensive issues with our feet - I have arthritis and have had surgeries on both feet.

Having had one surgery by an orthopedic surgeon, and another one performed by a podiatrist, I'd highly recommend a podiatrist - they specialize in feet instead of most other joints, and my experience was much more positive with the DPM (Podiatrist).

I'd also check to see if you have some place such as "The Good Feet Store" to see if they have any recommendations on shoes, inserts, etc. that might help take the pain off until you can find out exactly what the source is and how to correct it.
