Headbands/accessories for Little Girls

This is going to sound funny, but wait until she's born so you can see how big her head is! Not all headbands are created "equal"... my daughter has my family's "O-dome" as we call it (maiden name starts with an "O") and most infant sized headbands leave a mark if she wears them.

She has some that are "looser" and more breathable, so those are the ones we use (on the rare occassion that we use them). I have truly found that the children's boutiques have the highest quality and most comfortable accessories around. The Target ones are too tight for my girlie and they are pretty plain.

I get mine from Walmart. My DD was born with a HEAD FULL of hair, so we never really used headbands... I would use the clip-in types and put a little "pebbles" ponytail on top of her head. Once she got old enough to use rubber bands, I just clipped them to her hair in front of the pony tail.

I only had a period of about 2-3 months when she liked to pull them out, when she was just over a year old. I think it's because I put bows in her hair almost every day, so she is so used to them that they don't even bother her. lol.

I found some on Halo heaven and also etsy.And if your wanting to make them theres wholesale daisy website, they have good prices if your wanting multiple ones. After having all boys in the family for the last 11 years my daughter is very spoiled and well dressed:)

Personally I wouldn't buy/make very many at this time.

My mom made tons before my daughter was born...baby girl from infancy til about 3 would pull them out. (She's now 7)

Now I can get her to wear them when she plays soccer and it has to be MOMO brand. (sometimes wears them to play dress up)

I make them, so many easy options these days. Go to Hobby Lobby or something and they even have them that you mix and match.

Dollar Tree, Dollar General, Sally's, Walmart, Walgreen's, Target.

I tried a few on DD but they slipped off and I guess I didn't start training her early enough for stuff on her head so she would remove headbands.

Honestly, she had almost no hair for a long time so I waited. Then I got the cute stuff wherever I found it. Babies R Us, Target, Macy's....unless you are very crafty, just buy it. On sale you can get a lot for less than your time is worth, and a new mama doesn't have a lot of time.
