Good responses, I'L. just add that pilates works for me. I use a video at home. Also, getting decent sleep really helps. I take Ibuprofen before bed when I've had a full day to help relax my muscles. You could also try some massage therapy.
Hello to all Moms out there. Does anyone suffer from chronic headaches? I have had them for numerous years and have seen a neurologist and all. I have probably taken about every medication but now I am on Clonazepam which seemed to work but now like the other medications...it is not working as well. I know my headaches are so stress related. What am I to do? I worry about everything under the sun!

my stress related headaches were related to the amount of sugar I would consume. The busier I got the less careful I was about my consumption or made even more poor choices in my diet. I once gave up ALL forms of refined sugars, for six years; I lost 20 pounds (unintentionally) and stopped having headaches. Eventually, years later, I replaced sugar for caffeine and my headaches re-appeared, but not as chronic. Giving up sugar took a big effort, but have no regrets. Good luck with finding your triggers.
I can totally sympathize... that said have you tried accupuncture and/or chiropractic? Both seemed to deal with the pain better than medications (at least in my personal experience). To help the stress level try yoga. Yoga will help you relax and that will mean less trips to chiropractor/accupuncturist. I know this is easy to say, difficult to do. I haven't been to a yoga class in months, but it did help when I was going. Also there is a breathing technique that I can't remember where I learned it from but it seems to work if you use it before the stress gets too bad. Take a deep breath in through your nose for a count of 4-5, hold it for a count of 8 then breathe out through your mouth for a count of 8. Do this 5-6 times and concentrate on the breathing pattern (imagine the air filling your lungs then completely expelling all the air out). I actually do this a few times during the day and sometimes use it to help me fall asleep (or go back to sleep). One last suggestion is that Hylands makes a natural supplement called Calms Forte (you can find it at Mothers Market) this seems to help a lot with stress levels for me also. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions. Good luck
Stop stressing and stop worrying. Sounds easier than it is, I know, but it can be done. Trying to mask the symptoms isn't helping. Understand that there are things that you can change and things that you can't. Let those that you can't change go and work on the things that you can. Meditate and give yourself a chance to just BE!
If you are a caffeine drinker try to cut the caffeine. I had to do this several years ago & it worked very well. Good luck, I know the headaches are miserable & frustrating.
Hi E.;
I have had good success for my friends with a magnetic, far-infrared, negative ion necklace.
Proper hydration with clean, ionized, alkaline water is also an important factor.
Best,
