I had my son one week ago !! After 2 long weeks of trying to get induced and 3 failed attempts they had to proceed with a c-section. Thank god they did because he was 10lbs 1 ozs. Anyways to get to my question while I was in labor I got a epidural and since I have left the hospital I have a pounding headache, that will not go away. Has anyone else had this experience?

What can I do next?

K., RE: headach, you should call your o.b. asap. Your epidural prpbably caused this. When they were putting the epidural in it could have gone too far and perforated causing you to have a spinal. The headachs may get worse. This is what happened to me. It was 5 days after delivery and my headachs got so bad that I couldn't lift my head off the pillow one morning. Please see you Dr. or E.R., if this is the case they can treat with medication or something called a blood patch. You will feel so much better. Get help now! Good Luck!

Hi K.,

This happened to my boss's wife last year and she had the EBP done to rid herself of the headache. You should definitely call your OB to let him/her determine next steps.

Kate,
You need to talk to your obstetrician right away, the epidural procedure may have caused the headaches and your doctor may want to see you.
Take care, L.
