So What Happened?

Thanks to all of the moms who gave advice....it really helped her in making a decision on what to use. She chose to use MOXXOR. Thanks once again.

I have always suffered from migranes and they worsened when I became pregnant. My doctor said it was okay to take Tylenol (even extra strength). I took it my first 4 months (only when absolutely needed).

Yet another backup of the other posts... Tylenol. In addition, my doctor said it had to be regular strength Tylenol which wasn't easy to find.

Education not Medication!

Please, in my opinion, no medication is "safe" while pregnant.

Natural headache cures:
breathing
yoga
herbal tea
aromatherapy
walks in nature
etc.
Anything to help you relax

There are many products that are known to feed the body so that it can ward off the discomfort.

N., please, education not medication. We are too quick to pop a "pill for every ill". Please, think of the baby.

Tylenol or generic acetaminophen. Just make sure to only take the recommended dosage (that goes for everyone, not just those pregnant). Definitely no Motrin, Advil, Aleve, aspirin.

She can take MOXXOR, the most powerful ALL-Natural Omega-3 and Antioxidant on the planet. We have several local OBGYNs that use it in their practice with wonderful results. MOXXOR reduces inflammation (the root cause of headaches, most chronic illnesses and pain in the body). Plus, MOXXOR is safe to take while pregnant and breastfeeding, and will not only help with her headaches, but will increase the amount of DHA that she and her developing baby will receive(along with the other seven essential Omega-3s needed for heart health, skin health, brain function & development, etc.). This is HUGE, because she can NOT take fish oils (most contain Mercury and pesticides or other toxins). MOXXOR is a concentrate of Greenlip Mussel Oil and Grape Seed Husk Extract (it's a food, and it's not a predatory fish, so it's not subjected to the same influences as other marine life. Greenlip mussels eat phytonutrients in the pristine waters of New Zealand). Not only is it the most powerful and effective all-natural Omega-3 in existence, it's blended with the the Antioxidants from the organic seed husks of the Sauvignon grape also from New Zealand which has greater levels of super zntioxidant OPC than any other known fruit or berry. That means MOXXOR gives you the antioxidant power to fight free-radicals (toxins, pesticides, etc.), which are coming from the food we eat and the polution in our environment. Free-radicals damage and destroy our cells, so MOXXOR is naturally giving us what's missing from our Western diets... the ability to rid our bodies of damaging toxins AND the ability to heal and restore our cells (in every part of our body) to help us achieve optimal health and wellness.

I get adjusted by my chiropractor, especially when I am pregnant and it helps SOOOOOO much with headaches, low back pain and upper back pain. I also drink a TON of water and take Bioplasma from Hyland's Homeopathics....like 40 of them a day....it seems like alot, but they are homeopathic pellets and I take 10 - 4x/day and it made a HUGE difference in my headaches. It's homeopathic, so there is no real toxicity level. I'm leary of everything, even Tylenol...since science throughout the years has said prenatal x-rays was safe, then thalidomide was safe, and then DES was safe...so I just like to error on the side of caution.

Tell her hang in there....once the hormones balance out, life will be MUCH easier. I had wicked headaches with my first baby, until I discovered the Bioplasma and getting adjusted. They were so bad that I would literally have to sit in a chair ALL night for 3 days at a time. I won't take meds unless it's a life or death situation when i'm pregnant. I never wanted to wonder if something that goes on with my baby, was because of my choices during my pregnancy.

with BOTH my pregnancies, I had massive Migraines AND morning sickness.

The ONLY thing that helped, completely, was Acupuncture. Which was recommended by my OB/GYN.

It is very relaxing & safe in fact, and took 1/2 hour. I had 1 session and that was it for my entire pregnancy. NO more migraines or morning sickness.

Of course, use an Acupuncturist that handles pregnant women.

I would do it again in a heartbeat if I had those problems again.

All the best,
Susan

Hi N.!
I absolutely recommend chiropractic care. If she's interested, go to www.icpa4kids.org and look up a family wellness or pre-natal chiropractor in her area. Aside from headache relief, there are MANY other benefits to being adjusted while pregnant!
Good luck to her.

Tylenol only! Also, make sure she stays well-hydrated with water if possible. Avoid caffeine because that can exacerbate headaches.

Tylenol is pretty much the only safe over the counter medicine. If her headaches are really bad, she might be able to get something prescribed by her doctor. Acupuncture can also be good, though she should find an acupuncturist with experience treating pregnant women.

No asprin, no advil.
I just took tylenol!!!
Your doctor will give you a list of medecines that you may take and you can always call her/him if you have any questions. I have migraines and now that I'm pregnant, I have to stay fully hydrated and a good supply of extra strenth tylenol in my purse. I only take one but you can take 2. First have her make a list of questions to ask her doctor including this question. It will be a life saver. Good luck and congrats!!

Acupuncture, with a practitioner who specializes in women's health. It will help with any morning sickness, too. (As a practitioner, I know this helps from experience!)

Best wishes to your SIL...

Just backing up the previous post. Tylenol is the only medicinal option.

She should try massage too though. Probably won't do anything at all to her headaches, but pregnant women should get some massages. So should new Mum's. And older Mum's. But it's much easier to find the time before that first birth!
