Head's up About Babies'R'Us Registries...

I just thought you all should know that your Babies'R'Us baby registry is deleted a year after your child is born... I found this out the hard way! I have been keeping it updated throughout the year with toys and gear suggestions for his birthday, Christmas, etc. It has been great for the grandparents to use for ideas. Well, my son turned one last week and suddenly it was gone from their website. I called the 1-800 number & the store. The store called tech support and apparently they can't (or won't) recover the file... So, with Christmas around the corner, our registry that served as our wish list is gone. If you've been doing the same with your baby registry, print it now as a back up! I wish I had.

What can I do next?

You can create a wish list on amazon.com - it will not expire and you can create multiples under 1 email address.

I just wanted to tack on something to your ad and hope people will read it and take note. Beware if you buy a present from Toys R Us, that there is NO refunds, or exchanges without a receipt. Period. I learned this the hard way as well when my DD rec'd a duplicate B'day present. They said there is nothing they could do without the receipt or the gift receipt. Appalled by this, I've only purchased a few things for my DD and will not buy presents for others based on their policy. They could at least give a gift card, but nope! Nothing!! Beware!!

I am sorry you had that happen to you.
It takes so much time, to ad to it.

I have used Target and Wal-mart registries.
I have family in smaller communities that don't have
a Babiesrus. It makes it easy to do at home in my spare time
and lets the Grandparetns know what they need or like.

Here's a heads up on Target - my baby was born in June and her registry is ALREADY gone. So, since I'm past their 90 day return policy and have no back up with their registry, I'm stuck with several items as well. Their return policy is horrible - as if it's not hard enough trying to shop with a new baby!

Good luck trying to re-create your 'wish list'. That's a great idea to keep it up for birthdays and holidays.

Babies R Us uses Amazon as their online presence. You can probably go to Amazon to create a wish list with all the same things on it. We've done this for a year or two with our kids. They don't expire.

I'm sorry to hear that you lost everything. Try using amazon. I've been a keeping a wish list for my daughter since she turned one and she's now 4. I just review it every couple of months and update/delete. All of my family lives out of state, so they love it.
