We received a flyer in the mail for Scholastic's "The Magic School Bus Science Club," where they mail you a monthly science project geared toward children. Our 6 yo daughter has expressed an interest in this and I'm thrilled as I am always trying to promote math and science with our daughter :) Has anyone else tried this "club" and what are your thoughts on it, if you have? The flyer says that it's developed by a team of Harvard graduates, scientists and educators. It's $16.99 per month (one kit a month).

Thanks for any feedback you may have!

Added: Ok, it appears that this may be a new club, the science club. But the Magic School Bus has been around for quite awhile. Thanks, Laurie, I think this may indeed be an excellent gift from Santa!!

Wow, Our daughter is jealous.. She is 21 and loved the MSB.. Maybe Santa needs to give her this subscription!

It sounds like it is a new program..

I guess you have the discount code?

Oh my god! My 7 year old son will go bananas if I get this for him. He loves the Magic School Bus and every once in a while I have bought kits when I see them. Thank you for posting this.

I'm 25 and I LOVED the magic school bus! I would have wet myself if this would have been around when I was a kid, alls I got were those dinky science kits with rocks that were stupid expensive and not interesting at all! I say go for it if you can afford it, it sounds really cool.. I'll definitely be looking for it when my daughter gets old enough! I wonder why they don't still make the TV episodes of the Magic School Bus... sure would beat Spongebob..
