I just bought some per my BFF's love for the stuff, but I'm still skeptical. It smells like a citronella candle, LOL! Is this bad to walk around on carpet with? Anyone have good/bad experiences with the stuff?

What can I do next?

I have not tried that particular product, but if I put any kind of cream on my feet, I put on cotton socks because I do worry about the carpet! LOL

I live in AZ so everyone here is barefoot or sandals basically all year and we have terrible cracked heels! I think really anything will work as long as you are consistant with it. With summer coming (and a vacation in a couple weeks), couple weeks ago I thought I would tackle my cracked heels. I have a Ped Egg as well as just a normal nail file that is really rough. I used the Ped Egg after the shower for a few days. Then while watching TV (and my feet dry) I would use the rough nail file. While at Walgreens I bought a big bottle of Vitamin E Body Gel with Tea Tree Oil (it was only like $6 for a big bottle with a pump) and put that on my feet when I go to bed. I have noticed a huge difference so I plan to keep up with it. Good luck!

Actually, yes I have! My husband has terrible cracked heels because he wears flip-flops pretty much year round. I like the smell of the Heel Tastic although we joke about how un-sexy it is. Soak your feet in warm water for 10 minutes or so, then use a pumice stone to file away the nasty dead skin. Then apply the Heel Tastic and put your feet up for 20 minutes or so. Yeah, I know, like you have 20 minutes to put your feet up:)! I probably wouldn't walk around the house with it, it's pretty slippery. Anyway, it has worked for my husband when he uses it consistently.

Yes and I love it! It's too slippery and goopy to walk around with it on but I put it on generously at night right before bed and slip on cotton socks and in the morning, my heels are nicely moisturized and soft. I had REALLY cracked heels and this has been really great. I think other lotions might work well too but I love the applicator so that I don't have to get my hands messy. Plus I don't mind the smell at all.

I bought it and opene it as I was psyched to give it a try - the smell was horrible so I returned it. There was no way I could stand that disgusting smell. I'd rather have cracked heels.
