We saw it after my son got done reading Ramona and Beezus, and yes, it does combine a few of the books, but mostly the book Ramona and her Father. So I would suggest reading that one before seeing the movie.
My daughter, 5, and I just got done reading "Ramona & Beezus" and I wanted to rent the movie, however, it seems like the movie may also contain content from later books, like "Ramona The Pest" which we have not read yet.
Just wondering if you have seen it, and is is only about the "Ramona & Beezus" book or other books too? I just want us to read the books before seeing the movie and I don't know anyone who has seen it!
Thanks Moms!!

It is sort of a compilation of a few books. It won't ruin the books for you though so go see it. It was a cute movie. My granddaughter is 8 and just now reading the books and she loved it. Henry Huggins is in it also. If you remember him from the books.
I have not seen it nor have I read the books, but this site may help you figure things out ...

It has been awhile since my daughter read the books so I can't remember the order. In the movie, the 3rd child in the family has already been born and the aunt of Ramona & Beezus gets married. Hope that helps! It is a good movie for kids - I don't remember much, if any, swearing, sex, drugs/alcohol, violence, etc. Hope you and your daughter enjoy the books & the movie!
im 23 and saw it with my best friend. it was really cute!!
