A.W.
I have seen him twice live and loved it both times. He uses props and lots of funny stories. It never feels like you are there that long and you are guaranteed to learn something.
My husband and I are (finally!) going to see Dave live in KC on Saturday. I'm excited; hubby not so much. Being that the show is 5 hours long, I was hoping some of you could tell us what to expect as far a content (is it more crowd interaction or lecture?) and atmosphere. Are the scheduled breaks long enough to try and get a meal from concessions in (the show is from 1300-1800)? Was it really worth the price of a VIP ticket?
Thanks ladies!

I have not been to a show, but we are watching his DVDs with a our church group. He is hilarious and his information and facts are so interesting; they really make you stop and think about your own finances. It will be worth it and if your husband has a sense of humor, he will enjoy it!
Oh my, my hubs and I went and we laughed SOOOOO much! It is hilarious. He will have you rolling, plus give tons of good info. Your hubby will have a great time!! I think there were breaks, but really you hardly notice the time.
We went a few years ago & had a blast! We learned a lot & had fun doing it. If I remember correctly, there is an intermission about halfway through. He also does give aways and such. Hopefully your husband will have fun & come away excited to get out of debt!
My parents went and loved it, my dad even was invited on stage. That's all I know, sorry it's not too specific!
I wanted to go so bad when he was in our town. My hubby didn't want to go and we missed it. =( But I heard that he is very fun and upbeat! I think your husband will enjoy it. I really want to go sometime. I heard so many good things from my friends who did go that I think it was probably worth the price! Have fun!!
We went 2 years ago, and it was seriously the FUNNEST 6 hours ever...I didn't want it to end! Aside from his financial brilliance, Dave is just insanely HILARIOUS and will keep you completely entertained the entire time. He basically takes the 5 hours to go through the baby steps and it's just flat-out MOTIVATING. He's very engaging with the audience too. Yes, he gives you several breaks (I was pregnant, so I remember being grateful, lol).
GO...you won't regret it, I promise!!! I'd go again in a heartbeat!!
wow, i am jealous, we are taking the class at our church for the 2nd time & still laugh a ton....so i cant imagine how fun the live show will be
My experience is as a volunteer at the live event (and I'll be there tomorrow too!) but, it is defintely work it. It is a great check up to make sure you're on track. There are several breaks, it's not just a 5 hour lecture. And Dave is funny. He's not just serious Joe. Also, the VIP group gets different benefits than the "average" ticket so it is well worth it!
