Kind of goofy... The little plastic thingy on the end of a shoelace is called an aglet. Phineas & Ferb had a whole show about this :)
For instance, I didn't know if you see a rainbow from an airplane it will be in a full circle. (Sid the Science Kid)
Or that Diurnal was what we called daytime animals, as opposed to nocturnal. (Sesame Street)
So what have you learned from kids shows?

Alot of my Spanish I learned from Dora, Diego and Handy Manny. Oh, and Maya and Miguel. I learned Chinese from Kai Lan.
My son has outgrown all of them, blast him. I miss those darn kids.
I've learned that Venus rotates in the opposite direction than the other planets. The Zula Patrol is FANTASTIC!
Kai Lan has taught me some Mandarin. It comes in handy with the kids. If they are going nuts and not listening to me I can yell TING! And they stop in thier tracks. Ting means listen. Sheh Sheh Kai Lan!
And Beakmans World taught me how to make recycled paper.
Would love to see a rainbow from an airplane!
Rarely home for those kids' shows - so have no clue about learning the languages!
Only thing I can come up with offhand is a spelling rule - i before e except after c (or when sounds like a) - from a Charlie Brown cartoon...
Hahaha! I thought I was the only mama fascinated by the circular rainbow thing on Sid!!
