I'm mostly looking for an area that has a creek to where my family and I can explore. I have a very curious four year old little boy who would love to go exploring for the very first time to find frogs, bugs, etc. You know how that goes...LOL
Anyway, if you know of any little great areas for a day trip, we're going this Saturday and just spending the day there. Nothing real big...just to get out of town for a while.
And if you do know of a place, please be specific as in directions if you possibly can. :-) Or give the name of the place. Thanks so much!
There is a trout farm that you can take your son to and catch a fish or just look around. I do not remember the exact address or location, but I'm sure it would be easy to google. You'll have to get a red rock pass if you are planning to stop and go down to the creek or do any hiking in the area (I believe anyway, that was how it was when we went last). Look up Sedona online it should give you all the info you'll need.
I have only been there once. A friend took me to Rock Slide Park. It was awesome. It is a creek/river that has smooth rocks that you can slide on like a water slide. Also a couple of old buildings to look at. I think there were restrooms near by. There was a small cost for entering the park.
