Have You Been to a Walgreens Clinic?

How was your experience? I am pretty sure I have an ear infection, but Im just not feeling driving 30 minutes to my doctor and sitting in the waiting room while my kids drive me bonkers. Walgreens is literally 1 min from my house, and there is a lot more there to occupy my 3 year than a crusty old waiting room. Plus it would be great to get the medicine there and just go home!
Thanks for the info!

We've used MinuteClinic a few times. They won't treat babes under 18 months of age and only treat for simple, run of the mill illnesses. You pay the same copay you would normally. You sign in on a computer and will have to enter all your regular info the first time. Thereafter, it is faster. Each visit is about 15 minutes and you'll wait in line if there is one. Most close around lunch time for an hour.

Otherwise, we LOVE it when it is the most convenient source to a dr. (ped's office is closed or ped is out for the day and I don't trust the other one!).

My sister has been and said it was decent. I'm thinking about getting my flu shot there or CVS, instead of going in a doctors office with sick people everywhere!

I only went there once because it is across the street from my office. They wouldn't help me because I may sue them if they are wrong. Err, then what are you hear for?

I had really really dry eyes to the point where I wanted to claw them out. So after going there I came back here, called my boss' optometrist who never saw me before and he said oh, do you have allergies? Yup! Use these eye drops. *headdesk*

yes I love ours! I use the internet waiting room to check and see how long the wait it before I go.

So much easier than the dr office because the meds are right there if you need them!!

I've never been to a Walgreens clinic, but have used the CVS clinic several times for simple things like ear and sinus infections. I've always been happy with the quick service, plus it's great to get your meds at the same place too! Hope you're feeling better soon.

I went when I had a sinus infection but I actually got the prescription at the grocery store pharmacy across the street because they had an agreement with Walgreens and they were only $4 each instead of $30 I would have paid at the Walgreen's pharmacy. So that was worth a drive across the street. =)

Yes. My daughter had her first ear infection-my first experience with one-last March. I could not get her into the doc and just easier for my husband to take her to Walgreens. Then I got sick a month later and went in for a strep throat and flu test. The only problem I had, am still having, is I never received a bill so I could pay my co-insurance. They call my house and I call them back and still same issue. Other than that, no problem. I think my son also went for swimmers ear in August. Each time we had a quick in and out. Cal first though to make sure they are available. The time I went there was some emergency and I ended up leaving and coming back an hour later.
