Have You Been on a Disney Cruise?

We are going on the Disney 4 day Cruise in July 2008 with my daughter (4yo) and stepson (11yo) and my niece (17yo). Has anyone used the clubs for their children? What about their babysitting? There are some land excursions we would like to explore, but the children will not be able to participate. We also would like to have dinner one nightat the adults only restaurant, but do not have child care...any suggestions? My niece will be off doing her own thing, so it's really for the younger children. Tell me anything positive and negative you have experiences with Disney Cruise Lines. THANKS!

What can I do next?

A., I LOVE the Disney Cruise line. When I went I was truley spoiled rotton. They pamper you. They do have childcare for all ages on the ship. The little ones have their own spot and the olders one have their own spot. The kiddie club...cant help you there. I went to the adult club. You do want to make reservations to their Adult restaurant. I forgot the name of it. But its the ONLY one you have to make reservations for. Do that RIGHT away because in a few hours of boarding the ship that restaurant will be booked for your entire stay. There is a fabu princess tea party for little girls....your 4 year old would have a BALL! well good luck! Hope that helped.

The clubs for the little ones are terrific. The teen club is not as successful unless you have friends on board. The 11 year old will be able to come and go as he pleases but the 4 yr old will have to have permission and adult supervision to leave the club.(that's good) You get a beeper if the kids need you for anything. The one absolute rule we made for our daughter was she was not allowed outside on the deck by herself or to go into any staterooms but ours. she could explore the boat on her own but she had to check in with us. The movie theater was a lot of fun and the live shows were terrific.Register them online for the clubs and make your reservation at Palo(adult restaurant) online now! great cruise, get down to castaway cay early and get a chaise with an umbrella close to the water and book all excursions online now or asap. P.S room service chocolate chip cookies are to die for ! order them as soon as you arrive to keep in your room for snacks! Enjoy ( if you like them that is...). Fabulous cruise(4 days is not enough)

I was a bit upset to see there have not been any responses as of yet, as I would also like this information. The last time I went on a Disney cruise was for my honeymoon, and it was AMAZING!!! Disney always makes everything so magical.

I would love to know how it is for kids, as we would like to go again, this time with kids.
