It's "following them" yet she thinks the house is possessed?

There is a creepy part of our house. It is because there is a big window and a heater vent and the stove vent was not well insulated. All for a great eerie(sp?) drafts that creeps me out (shiver). My daughter also had a toy (ONLY one!) it was a leap frog electronic toy that would always go off at about the same time each night. I figured out that it was also the same time the nieghbor kid next door came home from school/work/ wherever. Very annoying, took the batteries out of that thing. Our doors were NOT put in properly (level) so they swing closed easily and some are propped open more substantially than others. We have rats outside (just a fact here in CA) Our dog knows they are there and seemingly barks at nothing. Sometimes we see them but most of the time we don't. These are just things I can think of that could make me think my house is haunted. OH, thought of a few more. Our pipes are very loud and one of the toilet leaks. The house also creeks at about the same time of the day as the sun comes up. I think it's the sun on the gutter. Doesn't do it if it isn't sunny......I could go on.......

Check for carbon dioxide in the house--it can cause symptoms like this...

Well if it likes to only do things when someone is alone or with the family, then it wouldn't do anything with you around, right?
I fully believe in spirits and demons. If things are really bad, then you should get them in contact with a Ghost hunting society or Paranomal investigators. Do a google search for them in your area and tell them children are involved. They will come out as soon as they can if children are there.

Sorry, but I have no belief in superstition, of any kind. I'm sure the first time most of us were left home alone as kids there were scary noises and stuff. Most of us grew out of these fears. I think your friend needs help. And she's raising her kids to be afraid of their own shadow. Sad.

Yes, I do. Get on Amazon and try to get a hold of a book called Lucifer Dethroned. It is hard to find. It will blow your mind. Manifestations of the dead are in fact not what they appear. They are demonic and intended to mislead people as to their true nature. "the living know that they will die, but the dead know not anything." I believe. I understand that it may make people uncomfortable to believe, so you are getting a lot of responses to that nature. I think until someone has it happen to them, they couldn't understand. I would talk to a pshycic/medium and see what options are.

She needs an alter at the entry to the house. A Vanilla candle burning, some lavender a few patches of tabacco, a small bowl of water, a shell with corn in it, a tiny jar of honey, a small bowl of quarters and a mirror hung facing the door.
This is an every day way to keep out unfriendly entities.

The mirror facing the door or on the front door is essential.

Ok I am no expert, but I absolutely believe that there are spirits that are "caught" in between for one reason or another. I haven't heard too much about one following a family member - mostly, they attach to a certain place(house) or land. I have heard they can also attach to possessions, like antiques.

I recently was able to get a massage from a psychic who does not market himself as one. He is a licensed MT, but can sense or read things in people. He was telling me about a trip he took to Montana - a lady had furnished a ranch house with lots and lots of antique pieces. He said there were many spirits attached to them.

He also said that when he was first "new' at learning about his gift, he would have spirits come to him at all hours of the night. He ended up having to say out loud. "I am going to bed. I am off limits for now. Do not disturb me- my door is closed." I'm paraphrasing, but that's basically what he said. Otherwise, he would be "approached" all the time.

From what I've seen and heard, it may help for your friend to tell them to please leave. She has to say it out loud- "You need to go find someone to help you. We cannot. You need to leave us alone, now." Not yelling, or in a mad voice. Just matter-of-fact. Not sure that will do the trick, but it's worth a try.

I don't know that I believe in ghosts (as people) haunting a house. However, I have experienced what many would call "ghosts" in this house (toys playing songs by themselves, images, the door closed by itself..). I never got scared by it. But one day I did (as advised by a "spritual friend") say to the "being" something like "You are free to go and leave and do what you want...or I give you permission to be free" and after that never really saw it again.

Oh so many religious responses, I thought I would offer a non-religious thought. I truly believe that there is something after death, though I don't believe in god. Some people are more connected with whatever this existence is in afterlife. Call them psychics, empaths, mediums, whatever. My friend has a daughter (4) who has this openness. She sees spirits, remembers past lives, etc. I think it is most available to children who haven't been convinced yet of the impermanence of life. I wonder if the spirit(s) is connected to one of your friend's children? Maybe she could think back to when the family first started experiencing the spirit's actions and that would clue them in to who in the family might be the target. It's not necessarily a negative thing. My friend is trying to be supportive of her daughter's gift. She does have to ask the spirits to leave her alone at bed time though! They are not all bad, and I think there is likely a reason for the contact, though it might never be discovered. I think talking to others with this gift would be the best start. Good luck.

I'm a Believer !!! I'm sorry your friend and her children are living in 'fear' :-( I would 100% have her contact a "medium" and see what advice, information and services they can offer her !!

There are no such things as ghosts, as in the dead spirits of once living people...the Bible is very clear on that. However, demons do exist and if she TRULY is having a problem, she needs the Lord's help. It's as simple as a prior answerer said, to pray that whatever evil leave the house in the Lord's name.

However, I'm always skeptical. :) Never, personally, had a problem with anything like this or known anyone who has...

I basically don't believe in GHOST. But it doesn't mean that i don't believe in DEMON. I believe that good (GOD) and evil (DEMON) are both sides of a coin. If GOD is there, so is DEMON. But demon doesn't mean it should be a ghost or a spirit. Both God and demon are inside our heart. Its God who makes you do good, and its demon who makes you do the bad.
This whole, haunted and possessed thing is just something shown in the movies. And since this topic is very interesting one, people talk a lot about it and this in itself is publicity. After death there is nothing,no spirit no ghost,nothing. Death is THE END.
I'll just give you one example--- My family home is said to be possessed. The people around there says that they have seen my granny moving around the house even after her death, they even say that they smell my granny's purfume, they hear sounds from the house even if the house is empty. But if any of this was true, even i would have experienced this?. But i have never. not even my parents. So we understood that this whole episode was just a interesting talk between the people and the workers around there. Seeing ghost or experiencing it is just the ploy of our mind. Our mind is the most complex thing in this world.
When you sit alone, you already feel vulnerable, n so only when you think u hear someone talking, actually u can hear it. Its just your mind who is playing with you. And if you have a weak will power or mind, you actually start to think that is real. for instance, you only move the chair or on the fan, then u forget it, n you think that this was done by someone else whom you cannot see. This type of things has happened with me a lot many times. Once,i had kept milk on the gas stove for boiling,then i went to watch TV. In the mean time i forgot about the milk, but after 1 hour or something i remembered about the milk and went to the kitchen to off it,was surprised to see the burner off. At first i do feel scared,but then i thought n thought, then it crossed my mind,i had gone to the kitchen in between just to keep a cup,i had turn off the burner then. It just slipped my mind at first. Now you see, if my mind was week, i would be thinking that this is the work of a ghost, but instead i thought about it and got the answer.
I think your friend need to see a psychiatrist, you told that she always has to make sure that there is always two people in the house,cause it bothers them wen they are alone. when she was with her two kids, it same as to be alone cos they are kids. And now about the things moving, this can be because of the megnetic fields or the eletro magnatic force.

I've only read a few of the other responses so I hope I'm not being repetative to the ones I have not read yet. These things are indeed real. I personally have not had any experiences, but trusted people I know that would not lie about things like this have had experiences. From what I understand, this sounds like a "poltergiest". They attach themselves to a person, so it's NOT her house. Yes, houses themselves can be haunted and that is a different type of haunting in itself, but from what you described, her issue sounds like a poltergeist. So her moving and moving is not going to stop it. They typically attach themselves to young girls...is one of her children a girl? Has this happened all her life or just since she's had her children? If it's happened to her all her life, then it's attached to HER. If it started after her children we born, then it is probably attached to one of her children, again most likely a girl. I read one responder who suggested you find a local "ghost hunting" group in your friends area. They can come out, investigate and point you to people that can help. It's not the house that's possessed, it's one of them. There is no such thing as a ghost. The Bible even says so. There is DEFINITELY the possibility that one or some of them have DEMON attachment or even the beginnings of a possession. The first step in ridding the being is to ask for God's help.
