I am thinking about switching pediatricians but the one I would like to go to uses Quest Diagnostics in Arlington, TX. Has anyone ever had any experience with this particular lab with their children? I am concerned b/c our pediatrician now has a lab in the office and it is very easy and child friendly.
I've used them for years. It's just like a Dr.'s office, except you go into a room and get blood drawn instead of stripping :)
One time there was a sick little child in there, he was bawling, but they were really good with him. I just felt bad for the little boy :(

i took my kid at the one in matlock st. it was a good experience and my insurance paid everything.
My experience is that is that it is much easier to use a dr with one in their office. Last year, I went to quest for bloodwork and I had two insurances which covered 100% of everything. I got a bill in the mail from collections from Quest, who never used my insurance and instead said they billed me and never received payment. Ridiculous. But maybe that's not how it is for everyone?
I HAD A BAD EXPERIENCE PROBABLY ISOLATED BUT WENT FOR A LONG TIME TO THEM ON NORTH BEACH STREET. I WENT ON A SAT AND SUNDAY MORNING MY DOCTOR HAD A NURSE CALL ME AND TELL ME TO GO TO EMERGENCY. WELL THEY TOOK MY CARD NEVER TOLD ME MY INSURANCE WOULD NOT COVER AND INSTEAD OF JUST DOING ANOTHER BLOOD TEST THEY DID ALL SORTS OF TESTS THEN LET ME GO AS NOTHING WAS WRONG, NOW I HAVE A 4433 BILL FROM THEM HAVING HARD TIME PAYING . I NOW GO TO LAB CORP AND THEY TOLD ME A LOT OF THEIR EMPLOYEES USED TO BE A QUEST DIAG SO BEWARE. THEY TOOK OFF THE BILL FOR THE BLOOD WORK $36 but not the doctor or hospital will do anything. G. W
