I'd be careful with any type of protein powder/shake powder as a lot have been found to be contaminated with heavy metals. Not sure if Shakeology tests their products but I believe consumer reports did an article on several brands awhile back.
What do you know about Shakeology? Good or bad?

I suggest that, if it works, it works because by drinking a shake for lunch you're reducing the number of calories consumed. And if a part of it is to pay attention to what you eat the rest of the day you will also be reducing your caloric intake.
I suggest that trying it would be OK as long as you're eating well balanced meals the rest of the day. The shake will have nutrition in it too.
Shakeology has really become an important part of my life in the last 7 months.
A little background: I am not a breakfast eater. I just have never made the time for it. I am active, work out at least three - four days a week, try to eat healthy, etc. A friend of ine sent me some sample packets after I talked about being frustrated with my weight. The first question she asked was if I ate breakfast. I now have a shake every morning. I only use 1/2 scoop of the powder instead of the full one, which helps to cust the cost a bit. I use the Tropical flavor, and mix it with frozen fruit, Greek yogurt, and ice. It takes a bit to get the flavor mix you will like. My husband drinks teh chocolate one, and even my kids love it (the tropical) as well, so I usually make up a smaller one for them to share.
I feel like I am getting a jump on the day, plus I am much less likely to snack. It is easy, and worth it. I have lost 30 lbs in the past 7 months, just by making this change.

I really like shakeology, I was skeptical at first because it is pricey, but it has helped me. There was a time they changed the formula and that was horrible, but it is back to the good one. I don't use it as a meal replacement, I use it as a snack around 3 because that is the time I find myself wanting to snack, and this took away my cravings. I mix the chocolate in a blender with ice and almond milk... YUM.
Before committing I showed it to a friend who is really into healthy eating and she said a lot of the ingredients are really good for you. It works for me because I don't eat a really healthy balanced diet. I used to be exhausted after work but after a shake I have the energy to work out, would a protein shake work the same? I don't know, this is working for me. I have lost 12 pounds with this and exercise, but the biggest improvement is my energy level.
