I don't think debarking is the answer. Besides being inhumane (think of it as if someone took out your voice box - yeah, all we hear is barking, but your dog is actually talking when he barks), trying to silence your dog could lead to great frustration on his part and lead to him becoming aggressive, which is way harder to deal with than barking.
I suggest you maybe find a good vet who treats dog behavior - try to get at the bottom of the reason for the excessive barking. Could be as simple as a deranged squirrel that keeps taunting him, or as complex as needing more attention. In any case, debarking isn't going to solve the problem, because the barking is a symptom of something else.
If you cannot come up with an alternative, I will take your dog. I will find him a good home.
