Has Anyone Gone Through This and Turned Out Pregnant or Not?

Had my second child back in August of 2018, got on birth control(the mini pill cause I'm BFing) after 4 weeks of baby being born and then got my period right after and lasted 9 days(was light). Well between that period and when I was supposed to start again I had two times where I spotted 1-2 days but only in morning and only enough to where it was on TP but each time I had ovulation pains on both sides. So I took two tests couple days after that and were NEGATIVE. Well now this month when I was supposed to start another period, hasn't shown up but I spotted again for 1-2 days only in morning and enough just to wipe, and pains again on both side...First time being on BC(I only took a months worth of them and stopped since this stuff has happened), and never had the spotting like that happen before. Is this normal? Could I be pregnant still even though those two tests said negative?? Or am I just crazy?! Please help!!

PS: just some INFO: with my first child, I was EBF but had my period at 4 weeks pp too and had one every month until I got pregnant with second baby of course, but right before I knew to take a test I did have implantation spotting, but this time around I can't tell what's going on.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thank you ladies for the advice. I took a test today and it came back NEGATIVE. I have no idea what is going on with me; still late on period, and still having some pregnancy symptoms, and having some abdominal cramps, 🤷🏻‍♀️ so I plan on calling the doctors office on Monday. Thanks again 🤗

PS: SO wants me to get a blood test done just to be 100% sure, but I don't know...Is it worth it??

I don't know what is happening with you, but friend got pregnant again right away. She had her son and was breastfeeding and a month later she was pregnant again! Her boys are both great kids and have grown up best friends. When they were toddlers/preschoolers they were like little bear clubs always playing and wrestling together! I remember when she told me she was pregnant again. She was totally in shock. She said she did not even know this could happen. Her boys are 13 and 14 now.

Lucky for you, there is someone with answer to your question - your doctor. Call them and see what they say rather than ask strangers on the internet for medical advice.

Good luck!

For me, adjusting to birth control, and having just having a baby and being older - I spotted. It's pretty typical for me and I just mentioned it to my OBGYN. Usually, she told me before I left her office what to expect so I knew not to worry - when she put me on birth control.

I suggest calling yours and just talking to someone so you don't worry.

I would not have thought it was plantation bleeding, especially if you're breastfeeding around the clock. I personally would not have gone off the birth control. Hopefully you are using backup method or abstaining.

The thing is with mini pills, you have to take them at the SAME time each day for them to be effective.

I don't know about ovulation pains on both sides. I have never heard of that, nor experienced it.

I would take another test this month to find out if you are now pregnant. You took those tests last month only a few days after "ovulation pains"...it takes two weeks after ovulation for pregnancy to show up on a regular pregnancy test and at least 7 - 10 days on an early test.

I know a couple of women who got pregnant on the mini pill. Or it could be you are not having cycles again yet after giving birth and using the pill both. If you are using the pill correctly then you are not ovulating the pill keeps that from happening and that might be the pain you are feeling. Your body trying to ovulate but can't due to the pill.

Ask your doctor and Google the mini pill to see how it works so you can kinda figure it all out. Good luck!!

It could be that your body is just getting back to normal again with crazy hormones and you could be pregnant. I would suggest calling your dr and seeing what they say.

you could be pregnant.

you could just be crazy.

the only way it would be impossible for you to be pregnant would be if you hadn't had sex.

i suggest you talk to your GYN.

while ebf my firstborn i was on the mini pill.. in the 12 months i was on it i randomly spotted... i had maybe 2 periods and not on any kind of a regular schedule. i ended up getting pregnant with my second because i stopped that pill when my first was a year old. (i wanted to get pregnant and it was rather quick.. i found out i was about 7 weeks pregnant exactly 8 weeks after stopping the pill... baby ended up being a week early so i must of gotten pregnant the second i had sex after stopping that pill)
