My last C-section became infected (mind you, this was within the first week of going home). But it was red and very strong smelly odor. I went in immediately. I suggest you do the same.
Good luck :)
My c-section scar is 6 years old and it has recently become red and seems to be lightly leaking clear and has a very foul odor. There is no pain or itching.

It's infected. You need to see the doctor.
And in case you have a numnut for a doctor, don't let them tell you it's normal. It's not.
This happened to a friend of mine. She needed immediate medical attention. See you dr right away.
What does your doctor say?
Sounds like an infection. Get seen right away.
I agree you need to see your doctor. I've had a couple of yeast infections on my c-section scar. It could be as simple as that, but get it checked.
Someone on here once told the story about how she had incision pain about 5 years after giving birth and one day, something like a grain or two of rice popped out and it closed up and all was well. It sounded scary as all hell to me but it ended up being some sort of calcified something or another that made its way out naturally and was normal. Yikes!!
if you have something going on, go get it checked out. Feel better!
Sounds like an infection even though it's strange to happen after so many years. I think you should go to the doctor as soon as you can. It might be a good idea to do away with sugar at least for a few weeks or so and take a good quality vitamin C a few times a day. I'm sure there are all kinds of good remedies but you need to see what this is about from a doctor before deciding the best course for healing. IMO
