Has Anyone Ever Had This Happen?

Hi Mamasource friends
I was wondering if anyone has waken in the night with severe chills (I didn't have a fever and this has happened before in this pregnancy a few times). I have to bundle up and get warm and it takes about 40 minutes. This has happened to me a few times when I wasn't pregnant I think twice over the years. Could it be a hormone thing? Anyway, now I am paranoid that something could be wrong. I think I have felt her move today but like I said I am a bit paranoid. WE had three losses but all were early on and now we are 27 weeks so everything has been good. IF I feel her move then do you think all is OK? I am going to have some juice right now. Advice please!
Thank you
B.

So What Happened?

I really think she is moving around-the Dr yesterday was not my regular Dr he gave a thorough call back and said see how you feel tomorrow-if you feel movement then things are OK. I slept on the couch last night just because I wanted to try and feel more movement. I am sure I am just worried for no reason but when you have lost three I guess your mind works on you. I am going in today to hear the Heartbeat (if I don't go in I won't be able to relax) and I am anxious to have things be OK. Thank you for your responses it was nice to hear some of you got cold even though mine seemed more extreme.
I did go to the Dr after writing this and all is OK with Baby Daphne-she decided to check my thyroid and my Dr is always ready to hear from me-so that is such a relief!

First of all, if you are doubting her movement, call your OB. It never hurts to check!! Better to be safe.

I had chills and night sweats a lot shortly after giving birth to both my daughters. It lasted for a few months. I definitely think it was a hormone thing! It's uncomfortable but not concerning I don't think. But with your history, call you dr. for some comfort.
Best of luck!

You certailny aren't worried "for nothing", you have suffered great loses and you have your guard up! Better safe then sorry! Why not take an extra trip to hear that amazing sound than to have something be wrong. And...........yeah, I got tempature changes like that a LOT. I still do even not pregnant but after having kids. Best of Luck.

This happened to me when I was pregant with my son. I would get so cold, my husband would cover me with 3 comforters. I really think it is hormones. My son was born full term and healthy as can be. Drink orange juice and lay on your left side to see if she moves. If not, call the doc and get checked out. Always better to be safe even if you think you are just paranoid. Best wishes :)

I am only 8 weeks so I can't speak to the movement factor, but I have also been getting the chills. I don't usually awaken with them, but often around bed time I am shivering and have to climb in under all the bedding to get the chills to stop. I think it's hormonal as this only started during pregnancy. I'd definitely inquire with your doctor to be sure as I'm going to do at my appointment tomorrow, but I suspect you'll find it's not an unusual experience during the shifting hormones of pregnancy.

Best of luck to you!

Hello B., I am not pregnant but this happens to me often. It can 110 outside and I am wrapped up in blankets. Have you been tested for diabettes? That is why I get the chills. If my sugarsget to low I get chills. If you have not been tested please do get the gluclose test done as soon as possible.

Thats how I found out I was diabetic when I was pregnant with my 3rd child.

Hope all works out good for you and the little one.

K.
