Has Anyone Ever Had This??

I have these red pimple-like spots on my abdomen area, sides and up near my armpits. I started getting them when I was pregnant with my first child, and with my second. I figured it was hormone related as my doctor said. But I am getting them now and my son is 15 months old. I'm trying to correlate with my cycle, with foods I may eat, etc. I have heard of someone getting things like this when they eat tomatoes. Anyone have anything similar??

What can I do next?

Yes! I get them randomly. I have never really noticed them in conjunction with anything... They just randomly appear. Sometimes just one or two, sometimes several. I have no clue. I have been getting them since I was pregnant as well, and still get them 3.5 years later.

classic allergic reaction, keep a food journal.
Allergies show up when your body goes through changes, and pregnancy is a key changing time. I was so lucky almost all of my allergies disappeared with my pregnancies.

Do they come and go? Or do they continue to get worse once they come? My daughter has similar looking spots right now (red, pimple like but clearly not actually pimples) and it turned out to be a staph infection. They said it's either MRSA or MSSA. Might want to see a doc just in case. She's been on antibiotics for a few days and it's quickly getting much better.

I would definitely not let this go but would get to the doctor. At the same time, ask for a referral to a dermatologist..I'd rule out staph first and then proceed to a dermatologist to see if this is a hormone-related skin condition or possibly an allergic reaction. You may need to ask for a referral to an allergist if the dermatologist determines it's an allergic skin reaction. Be assertive, take charge, and don't put off making these appointments because it can take time to get things lined up with different specialists.

Be sure to be detailed about when this has cropped up -- I agree with you that the tie to your pregnancies looks like a hormone thing but the fact it's back now is strange. I would not just go by what an ob/gyn said about a skin condition, if it has returned and you are not pregnant.
