Just wondering if anyone has had laser hair removal on the bikini area? I would really like to do it, but don't want to waste my money if it doesn't work. Let me know your thoughts before I take the plunge. If you did have a positive experience...please let me know where you went. I am sick of shaving!!!

What can I do next?

I am in the process of getting it done. I bought a 6 treatment package and I have done 3 of them. I have definitely noticed a decrease in the amount of hair growth. It hurts a lot, though, so beware. Even with the numbing it is very painful. But I think it will be worth it in the end. I love the lady who does mine. Her name is Cindy, and she works at Ultimate Image. Their website is: www.ultimateimagedallas.com. She is a licensed aesthetician, and she is very nice and good at what she does. There is an OBGYN that works there as well. That is one think you need to look for is an office with a doctor on site. Otherwise it could be very dangerous. Good luck!

S.,
Had it done around 3 yrs ago - went twice - and it's great. I haven't been back since I've had babies pretty much back to back, but the two times I did go, I noticed a huge difference. I think one more time will do it for me...I would definitely recommend it. Plan to do my legs in the future.

Best thing I have EVER done. Fabulous. I have had 5 treatments on my bikini and think it is all gone for good. I just found out I am pregnant so we will see how much comes back over this 9 month break but I still have a treatment or two left in my package when I return.

Unfortunately, I had full leg done too and even after 5 treatments, it is all coming back. It is much lighter but it is back. Now, I have VERY thick, dark hair and I used to have to shave twice a day. I would get the '5 o'clock' shadow on my legs and if I was going out in the evening, would shave again. So, I am pleased that now I only have to shave every other day or so. When I go back after my pregnancy, I still have a few more treatments so maybe it will get it all by then!

In any case, I LOVE IT. I have spent way to much of my life shaving my body every single day--sometimes twice. I don't regret it for a moment. I highly recommend it.

I use Ideal Image in Plano. If you decide to do it, e-mail me. I have a $200 gift card you can have. I got it when I got my package but I don't know anybody who needs it. But I only want to give it to somebody who is on their way in to do really do it. I don't want it to go to waste!

I actually had mine done recently. It usually takes several visits to get it all. So far I've had two visits and I LOVE IT!! MOST everything is gone, but they said it will take 3-5 visits to get rid of it completely (with a touch up about once a year). I've also had my chin/lip done and my underarms done, so I'm all about the laser, but I've got to tell you, having the bikini done has been great.

I go to Body Essentials Medical Spa at the Medical Center of Plano. The Spa is run by an ob/gyn group, which gives me a little more confidence in their care. Whereever you go to get your bikini area done, ask for the gel that you put on before the procedure to deaden the pain. The first time is pretty intense, but much easier with the gel. Also, be sure to follow their after care instructions. It helps a bunch with any redness/soreness that follows (it's like a sunburn).
