Of course it is for fun, but somehow it was right on for my 4 kids and for many of my friends. Just wondering if anybody has done it and how it went ......:)

What can I do next?

LOL Dana... no, did the expensive fancy-shmancy ultrasound test.

My Apo (my Filipina great grandmother) used to do pendant 'tests'. Had 100% accuracy, or so the legend in the family goes. She lived to 103 and smoked cigars and never spoke a word to my grandfather (her son-in-law) so I am not willing to underestimate the power of that woman.

The only pencil test I've ever heard of is the one from the 60's/70's where you tuck a pencil under your breast and stand straight, if it falls you can go bra less, if not then you can't....I've lost good pencils with this test.

I haven't heard of the pencil test. My husband did the pendant test with all 3 of our kids and both of my sisters and it was right 100% of the time. NOt sure why, but it was fun.

My mom used to do this All.The.Time in our family. Before ultra sounds. And she was pretty accurate. I'd like to report that she was off, but no, she was right most of the time.

She was 'wrong' with one of my sister's pregnancies, but turns out my sister was pregnant with twins and lost one. So we were confused by the pencil's half attempt.

Is this the one where you put a threaded needle into the eraser of a pencil and see which way it swings, up and down, or back and forth? I haven't heard of anyone doing that since the 60s or so. I don't remember doing that for my pregnancy, so I've no data!
