also, how long before most of you drove? lift my 2 year old? they say 6 weeks to lift her? anyone have complications this
late in the recovery?

thankyou

What can I do next?

Probably scar tissue. My youngest is 3 years and I can still feel some of it under where my incision was. I was freaked out by it after my oldest was born. Most likely nothing to worry about. Talk to your doctor just to be sure at your check-up.

I drove after 10 days (I think they just didn't want my driving until I was off of pain meds). I only held my 2 1/2 year old when I was sitting down. We still had lots of snuggle time without me lifting her.

I had my first C-section 3 months ago and I am all healed up. I life my 1.5 year old son who is 25lbs. The key to healing faster is to walk a lot. I was healed all the way with in about a month and half after it. I don't have a knot though I have limited feeling around mine though because of the nerves they cut through. I was able to drive about 2 months after. Good luck.

Sounds like Scar tissue.. When you go back for postpartum checkup mention it again so you can be checked for your piece of mind. I don't think you have anything to worry about.

The knot may be scar tissue, nothing to worry about, and yes, I had it.

At 3 weeks I was only lifting my 7 lb daughter, and I woke up that morning and felt as if I'd been hit by a Mack truck, I was doing too much. If you were told not to lift your 2 year old for 6 weeks, don't. It took me much longer than 6 weeks to heal because I tried to rush things...driving, vacuuming, you name it...I'd felt fine and thought "I can do it," ha!

Follow your doctor's advise and recommendations, better to heal slowly and completely than not feel well for the next year.

Could be scar tissue or a abscess of infected pus.

Cesareans are full of complications - I still have pain in my pelvic area when I have to have a bm due to scar tissue, I still have numbness of the epidermis and dermal layer from the scar up to my belly button and I still get migraines from the epidural. My daughter was born in 2005.

I have a lump under one of my scars (although not from a c section). It is scar tissue. Nothing to worry about. I never had a c section, so I'm not sure about recovery time, but I would try to make sure you take the doctor's advice and not try to do too much too soon because that will just prolong your healing time. Good luck and congrats on the new baby!
