Hi All,
As I sit here trying to get the last of my Christmas cards out the door to friends and family, I'd like to wish all of my mamapedia friends a very happy holiday, whatever holiday you celebrate. I've been around here long enough with some of you that I feel like I know you even though we've never met. Celebrate and enjoy your family at this special time of year!

And, for the obligatory question - what is the latest you've mailed out your cards, and had them actually arrive in time for the holiday? I'm cutting it pretty close...

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

T.F. - sorry to hear about your doggie. Losing beloved pets is hard, even when you know they've had a good long life.

I have two cards waiting for updated addresses. Since they are in the US on the same coast, I think if I mailed them tomorrow they would arrive in time. I had a bunch of cards go out and be received the next day.

Merry Christmas!!

I've not mailed many cards this year.

I mailed a bunch of cards last year because it was our daughter's senior year of high school. I figured it was our last big family card.

This year, cards mailed out are here and there. I'm planning to cook way too much as usual, enjoy daughter and dogs by the fire and just being together.

We lost our 14.5 yr old Cocker on 12/7 during our ice storm. Of all times his body picked a great (NOT) weekend to fail on us. It was a surprise and we're doing ok. Our other 2 dogs are adjusting, sometimes bit so nicely.

Best wishes to you!!

Sometimes I send mine out late, but I send out Seasonal cards, not religious ones. This way, I got New Years covered, too, and if they arrive after Christmas, no biggie :)

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!
If the cards get there before New Year's, then I'm happy!
I like spreading the holiday out a bit.
The concept of '12 Days of Christmas' is one I really like!
Having everything happen all at once can make the day after seem anticlimactic and it puts too much pressure on that one day.
I even like it if I have a few Christmas presents that run a little late on the shipping and arrive a few days afterward (just a few minors ones - nothing major).

Merry Holidays to you as well!

I did not send any christmas cards this year. In years past, seemed I was always late with them, so always started off my note with a "Happy New Year" greeting as the cards would likely get there closer to the new year in any case.

I know from MY perspective, in this age of the internet, I enjoy a thoughtful handwritten note to 'catch me up' on friends and family ANYTIME of the year!

All the best in 2014!

Happy, happy Holidays to you too! This year, I won't be sending out cards. I'll do it next year. Once every few years I don't send them - this is one of them...

Not at all bah humbug, just too many choral performances in the past several weeks!

I will be mailing mine on Saturday. But they are all local so I should not have any problems.

They should be fine. Those postal people are working hard to make it happen.

I am doing things in reverse this year; mailed out cards a week ago and just started christmas shopping today. You'll be fine.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

This is the first year in 9 years I've sent out cards...got them out today...will get some local ones out tomorrow...

My husband waited too long to ship gifts one year...and we had to FEDEX them - with the cost of that - he's been much better at shipping presents out on time!! LOL!

Happy holidays to you, too!

I just mailed mine on Tuesday, and most have arrived by today. Yippee! (Of course, we mailed a few to international locales, and I doubt those will arrive in time... oh well! It's good that we are general holiday celebrators and not necessarily Christmas celebrators. ;)

I just mailed mine on Thursday. :)

The latest I've sent out cards was December 22nd.
Don't feel bad if they're late. Still nice to get.
I love getting cards.
Some I sent out individual or mass emails depending upon the situation &
date. I personalize them & choose border/backgrounds!

What a nice note.

A friend of mine declares all her cards "New Years Cards" and says they are acceptable up until January 31! Does that help??

Depends on where they're being mailed to. But if they're late...people don't mind. It's usually so busy before Christmas that the ones I get then get a quick review. I sit down a day or two after Christmas day to actually enjoy them...you'll be fine whenever they get there.

I sent mine Saturday. Left some here that my husband wanted to write notes in. He didn't get around to it...but requested I send them out today...they'll be late. No worries.
