Hanna Andersson Fans...

Hello,

Question: my daughter has been wearing size 70 Hannas for quite some time now. Technically, she meets the weight/height for the next size ...she's 20 lbs and 30 inches. I ordered a few things in an 80 and was astonished at how enormous the size 80's are...they seem huge compared with the 70's. Has anyone else found this to be the case? I can't imagine she'll fit in to the 80 until she's almost 2, unless she has a growth spurt.

Thanks!

What can I do next?

I don't know about sizes at Hanna Andersson but I wanted to respond about Hanna Andersson in general. WOW. Whatever did we do before Hanna Andersson? Amazing. I love looking throught the (paper) catalogs.
Gorgeous pictures, beautiful people, great photo styling.
About your question . . . . the time goes quickly.
Put the 80s aside and check them again in maybe February or March.
And enjoy your beautiful healthy daughter.

Yep. Love HA, but sizes are off, but only on certain things. Sweaters/coats/shoes are closer to size than pants/skirts and tops & bathing suits. But it also seems to change from season to season.... My girls only get a good fit when we go in and try things on. Unfortunately, they are a little on the pricey side, so I like them to wear them a little big (sweaters/tops/ dresses) so that they get an entire season out of them. My daughters are almost 5 and almost 8. My almost 5 year old is only in the 90's and those are still a little big (once again depending on what the item is).

Yeah, my daughter was given a few size 80 dresses for Christmas one year. It was June before they fit--and in Texas, we don't wear long sleeves in June! By the next November when it got chilly again, she had a growth spurt and was too big. Never wore them... So be careful about buying something that she'll grow into; you need to make sure the seasons match up.

Not sure where in Chicago you live but there are HA stores at Woodfield (Schaumburg), Oakbrook Court, and Northbrook Court. Hopefully they're conveniently located for you so you can exchange the items for a more appropriate size. Good luck!

According to the catalogue information, the dresses, which aren't form-fitting to begin with, are sized large so there will be growing room. I've always taken their word for it when ordering dresses for my granddaughters, and my DIL says the fit is good. The girls like the HA outfits, but I don't buy them, even for a gift, unless they're having a major sale!
