I am on the hunt for a handbag / diaperbag that will carry two cups, dispers and wipes, and possibly a change clothes, along with my stuff - wallet, keys, etc. I have to be careful of cost. Does anyone have any suggestions. I would like it to be 'pretty', but that isn't a deal breaker for me. Thanks for your help!

So What Happened?

Thanks everyone for your responses. I really like the bag from Target! I never thought of Craig's list. Thanks again!

I have a rather casual style, so I don't know if this is "pretty" lol...but I just bought it at Target to use for the same purpose.

I got it because it fits my skip hop pronto diaper changing kit plus all my stuff and there is still room for more. Right now I don't have baby stuff in it (since baby isn't here yet) and it doesn't look too bulky because of the material.

The handle goes small enough that you can carry it on a shoulder (which I prefer) as opposed to the cross-body.

I would look at Kholes they a lot of times have great sales and look in their purse section. They have ones that are large and you could fit everything in. Or you can check target or walmart.

A backpack worked best for me. My sister bought me a bag very similar to the Target one linked in red, in theory it was great, in real usage it didn't offer all that much room so it became just a handbag.

The backpack offered 2 cupholders, room for everything, and now that he's a preschooler I still use it for day trips for us both.

I would just hit Target, Marshalls, Ross and see what they have, what is big and has pockets, what appeals to you. Diaper bags have a lot of variety now. Maybe craigslist might have something as well.

I make up diaper bags.

I call them "the bag" because it has bottle holders on the outside with large pockets, key chain strap, and velcro closings. The inside has pockets inside with elastic and velco closings and a zippered top and adjustable handle/strap. They are usually made from used military uniforms (Air Force) or printed fabric and are 100 percent washable.

A woman came into the shop one day and bought one to put her little Yorkie in to carry around so they are roomy.

Good luck on your search.

I have 2 boys who are very active and often NEED me to hold their hands (especially the younger one). I switched to a backpack with waterbottle holders on the sides. So much easier for me, as I can easily have both hands free.

My boys are older now and out of diapers, but they still need a change of clothing and snacks and wipes always come in handy and it's just so much easier to have that backpack.
