My hands are so dry and red because of washing them all the time. I need a very good paraben free hand cream! Any suggestions?

What can I do next?

I don't know about "paraben free," but my boys' hands are terrible this time of year. I think it's partly the soap at school - super tough, super strong. Anyway, the pharmacist recommended Gold Bond hand cream, and it works! I have been so impressed. We've been putting it on their hands each night at bedtime. Their hands looked so much better after just a couple of days, so now we only use it when they need it. Highly recommend it!

You did say you wash your hands, so this might not apply. Washing your hands is preferable to using hand sanitizer. Those things are really rough on your skin. Also, I've heard soap and water is just better anyway.

I like Mama, not Mommy's suggestion of using a soap with a moisturizer. That really does make a difference.

Make your own. Get some olive oil, coconut oil and a bit of beeswax and do it up right. A little beeswax goes a long way. Google it and you will be fine. I add a little bit of lanolin (the thick stuff) to mine in the winter. You can add some Vitamin A, D, E to it from the capsules.

Whatever you do find, be sure to lead it on at night and sleep with gloves or socks over your hands. Sexy, I know. But it works.

We use Udderly Smooth Udder Cream. I believe it is paraben free. I also love Yes to Carrots Body Butter. It is 98% natural and paraben free. My mom swears by O'Keefe's Working Hands, but I'm not sure if it is paraben free. I don't see it listed as an ingredient, but I know paraben can be called a lot of different things. I buy Yes to Carrots at Target. You can find the other two at Walgreens or other drug stores.

I really like Gloves in a Bottle. I also have dry hands in the winter - so dry I get little cuts all over the tips and around the nails. To counteract this, I'm super diligent about using rubber gloves when I do the dishes. I also use a moisturizing soap when washing hands and then follow up with Gloves in a Bottle. It's pretty much solved the dry, cracked hands problem I get every winter.

I don't know about paraben's in them, but I've gotten good results from:
O'Keeffe's Working Hands
GoldBond
Eucerin (creme)

I work in a lab and wear gloves and wash my hands constantly. Also, consider changing your soap (dove or ivory have moisturizers) and use cool/tepid water.

Neutrogena hand cream cured my dry skin and even eczema on my hands. I wet my hands then rub in a pea size amount.

I have been using No-Crack Cream for years. It's the only thing that gets me through the winter without cracked, bleeding hands. It's made in the USA by Dumont. I used to buy it in small mom and pop pharmacies, but had to start buying online last year. There is a woman who became a distibuter and started her own site to sell it because of the difficulties finding it. I have also purchased from eBay and Amazon. I put it on at night because it's thick, but sometimes I put it on under my gloves when I go out.

Second O'Keeffe's. My sister turned me on to this and it's magic.
