Hello!
Last year I had an adorable "Halloween Cookie" party for my daughter and 5 of her friends. We decorated cookies, did a craft, danced and played. I'd like to do a similar party this year, but I want to make it different. My daughter wants everyone to dress in their costumes so I don't want to decorate cookies or cupcakes because the costumes might get dirty. Does anyone have ideas for games, crafts and other things that we could do? I made Halloween t-shirts last year as the take-away gift. They were only $5 to make and they were adorable. Any ideas for a similar take-away gift?
Thanks in advance!

Have a polaroid camera?
Maybe something with photos? A craft. Then the kids will have a photo souvenir gift, from the party?
Put the date on it, of the party.

Maybe with hand-prints etc.

what about decorating pumpkins, or making luminaries. There are a bunch of DIY halloween crafts online. Like making spiders and all kinds of fun stuff.

Pin the spider on the web! A pumpkin decorating contest (markers, stickers, yarn, etc.)! Guess how many candy corns are in the jar! You could make a Halloween apron for each of them that they can wear for crafts.

get some canvas reusable bags and let them decorate them for halloween. they can use them for trick or treating and then use them for the library or homework or whatever.

The Popcorn Factory has really cute popcorn ball decorating kits that probably wouldn't make as much of a mess. Maybe you could have them decorate a small frame that they could turn into a magnet and take a pic of them dressed up in their costumes to put inside for a take home gift.

decorate cloth/canvas bags for collecting halloween candy? Craft stores have them for a few dollars each.

I had a party last year for my 3 & 4 year old's preschool classes (there were about 25 of them). It was a costume party in the evening and we mostly let them stay outside and play on our playsets. We also did 2 pinatas and I set up a table with a bunch of artsy stuff from Michael's. They had a roll of different Halloween pictures to color, so I set that out with crayons, washable markers, and some of the foam sticky halloween shapes. We had a ton of "messy" treats- cupcakes, cookies, etc, but no one messed their costumes up (I was amazed by that!) We also did smores. The kids had a blast!
Their take away gift was the bag of candy they got from the pinatas.
