My daughter was just two months old for her first Halloween - we dyed a onesie orange and added a bit to it to make her a really cute pumpkin.

On her second Halloween she dressed up as a lady bug. Really cute costume, we had her own tights and shoes.

Have fun!

For our daughters first Halloween we had a onsie with padded angel wings sewn on the back.

I took some Christmas tinsel and made a halo for her head .

I'm not a DIY costume person. However, I got my daughter's first halloween costume at a consignment store for $6. It was cheaper than buying the materials to make my own.

My twins were cats for their first Halloween. They wore a black onsie and a black hat that I glue ears on top of it. I filled a black knee high with paper towels and attached it to the onsie. Have fun!

You could do a pumpkin or orange very easily.

Get an orange or white onesie and leggings or tights (you can skip the leggings if you will be inside) then get the same color of tulle, and tie it into a tutu. (You can use an elastic, strip of fabric, whatever to make it with. Ther are tons of no-sew tutorials online) then use a sharpie to draw a cute ghost face, or a jack o lantern face. Plus, it can be worn all month without being too costumey. :)

You can do the same thing to make just about anything with a few extras... Use black, add a tail and ears, and draw whiskers with eyeliner and you have a kitten. Use yellow and black, add wings, and you have a bumblebee. Brown onesie, yellow and orange tulle, and a floppy hat for a scarecrow.
