Does anyone know of any Halloween events that I could take a baby to? My daughter will be less than a year old and while I think that she's way too young for any trick or treating, I want to take her to do something, maybe where I could take pictures of her with "scary" props. I looked into Boo at the Dallas Zoo, and that looks fun, but I'd like to do something else as well. Anything in
Duncanville or surrounding areas would be great.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Thanks for everyone's input! I have a pretty good list of stuff to do now - this October is going to be full of stuff to do! :)

Goodness, it's nice to find someone in my area! Everyone seems to be scattered so far from me. I am from Duncanville as well.

Anyhow, you could always try the pumpkin patch in downtown historic Cedar Hill. It would at least be a nice place to get some cute pictures taken. I have heard a lot of great things about Boo at the Dallas Zoo. I have never been but was also considering taking my 18 month old there this year.

Calloway's nursery always does a Halloween event weekend. You can go any time and just take pictures. We have gon for the past 3 years and it is great...FREE. They have a HUGE pumpkin patch set up with scarecrows, hay bales, and other festive stuff. I know the one on South Cooper off of 20 in Arlington is holding theirs the weekend of October 6. We usually don't go that weekend because we just do pictures and it keeps us away from the crowd.

Hall's Pumpkin Farm in Grapevine has great photo opportunities, a pumpkin patch and a hayride ($1/person). We took our daughter when she was 11 mo. and she had lots of fun. You can pull your daughter around the area in one of their wagons. It's great family fun!

The pumpkin farm opens for the season today at 3pm! It's about a 30 minute drive from Grand Prairie. Check out their website for all the details.
