I did trick-or-treat when I was growing up, but it just isn't very safe anymore, which is why so many churches have functions for the kids on Halloween. We will be taking my 3-1/2 year old daughter (for the 3rd year) to the Fall Festival at the North Church. We are not members there, but had heard about it through the pre-school. It is for all ages, but primarily 2 - 9 year olds. This year will be a CIRCUS theme. They will have a bounce house, game booths with candy prizes for all and much, much more! It cost about $2 a person and is so worth it. They also have a food/beverage area to purchase other snacks or dinner. It starts at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday night (10/31/06). It is a fun place for the kids and a safe place for them to receive LOTS of candy.
The North Church is located on Beltline, just west of I-35. Their website is www.northchurch.org. Hope you get to enjoy this great festival. Take care.
