I moved to Costa Mesa a year ago and have still been going to my hairstylist in Fullerton...I need to find someone LOCAL! Does anyone have a recommendation for a hairstylist who is RELATIVELY INEXPENSIVE but excellent with short, funky styles and located in the south Orange County area (preferably near Costa Mesa). Any and every recommendation would be helpful. Thanks in advance!!!

C., try calling Paul Mitchell Beauty School located on Harbor and Adams. They have students who are ready to graduate in the middle of June so most of them should do well. The cost of a student is $10 or $15 and they will book a 2 hour slot. You might have to wait 15 minutes if they run overtime because someone before you was late. My hairdresser does not use the entire 2 hours.
Ask for Jackie #15. I referred my friend to her and now my friend is planning on seeing Jackie even after she leaves the school. It is a good way to try out a hairdresser inexpensively.

I go to Jimmy Sutton at Jon Paulo Salon. They are located in Foothill Ranch. I found him thru a friend when I moved here a year ago. Im pretty picky when it comes to hair and nails. Jimmy is good and stays booked months in advance. A haircut is $55 and color I believe is $65 and up. If youd like to give them a try the number to the salon is ###-###-####.
