The only one I've heard of is Michael Christophers but not sure of which stylist. Would take recommendations of other salons as well...

I would avoid Michael Christophers. I would HIGHLY recommend Currie Hair Skin and Nails. ###-###-####. You will notice the PA number. This salon is just over the PA line on Rt 202. They are considered one of the best salons on the East Coast. When my mother was in her wheel chair they treated her like a priness. I have very thick, curly hair, and I will not let anyone but their staff touch it. I love Lisa Marshall, but all of the staff is amazing. Tell them what your special needs might be and they will match you up with the perfcet staff member for you.

I go to The Strand by Aveda (it is on Augustin Cut-Off). All of them are good and nice. The reason I chose Aveda is because of their products. There is another salon, which is good, called George Marcus (on Rt 202 with Silverside, close to Chuckee Cheese).

I use Salon 926 on Concord Pike. It is right next to Scrimmages and Gymboree. My stylist is Jackie. It is a very nice salon with great prices. I also take my 3 year old there since their prices are great for kids!!

I have had good experiences with the hair cuttery and supercuts. It depends on the store and stylist, obviously, but I have naturally wavy hair and it's a bear to find someone that can deal with it. I've paid 60 for a bad haircut and 15 for a good one at the "chains". It's worth checking out. Go when it's not crowded and talk to the stylist to see if they can work with you to give you a good cut.
