I didn't experience the hair loss until after delivery. I would contact your doctor and see what they say to be safe.
Today after I showered and air-dryed my hair, I ran my fingers through it repeatedly and a pieces of my hair came out (not chunks but more than normal). I know that losing more hair than normal after you deliever is normal due to hormone changes, but is this normal at 7 months? I've been taking my prescription prenatals every day. What could this be due to? Does anyone else have/had this problem?
This only happened for one day. I still alerted my OB about it but he shrugged it off. I hope this doesn't happen again (until it's expected after delivery!)

It could be your hormones. I would make sure not to wash your hair everyday. Another thing make sure to be careful with coloring the hair. While there is no link between hair dying and harming your child,if you are having a hair loss issue be careful. I had the issue of losing hair after my son was born. It should all balance out. Make sure you are eating well. Lots of leafy greens and fresh fruits and veggies. Good luck
I am pregnant too and mine has been falling out for months. I am hypothyroid so I consulted my endocronologist and my levels are fine. She said it was hormonal. I would call or talk to your doctor/nurse at the next apt but I wouldn't freak out just yet. My doctor said it was normal.
I had a problem with hair loss, and I started using Ovations and I am so glad I did, i have thicker hair, longer hair, and so much new hair growth, now I lose the normal amount. My husband ordered it. If you do get it e-mail me at ____@____.com and I will tell you how I used the cell theorpy that comes with it. Love this product. J.
Hi V.
I lost alot of hair after my daughter was born. I was freaked that I would go bald. I lost so much in fact that my Doctor was a wee bit concerned. But the bottom line with my hair loas was that is was evenly over all my head.
What I was told was that it if came out in patches that is what concerns Dr's the most!
So that may be the case during pregnancy too. You mention chunk...is it like a clear cut bald spot?
Either way I would contact your Doctor. Assurance is everything when you are pregnant! :)
I would call your OB and ask for a blood test. It could be that you are a bit low on some vitamins.
