I colored my hair this morning, and failed to notice that some of the dye got on the side of my neck. I've tried using rubbing alcohol and hydrogen peroxide to remove it and those didn't work. How can I remove it?!? It looks ridiculous!

Have you tried any type of hair conditioner or lotion? Sometimes that works? If not the hair supply stores sell the remover, or butt cream. That's what my friend who is a hair stylist puts around my forehead/hairline to keep the dye from running. Best of luck to you.....been there.

Someone just answered this in the "Super Smart Tricks" post. Her friend was a hairdresser. She said to use Windex on a paper towel and supposedly works great. Good luck :)

My daughter did this when she was a teenager. She is so fair skinned she practically glows in the dark and she got the brilliant idea to color her hair black.
That was bad enough, but she got to thinking she'd look ridiculous if her eyebrows didn't match so she put the dye on her eyebrows too.
AND apparently she had failed to notice that the beautiful woman on the box of hair dye was black.
Oh my God.

I slathered her with vaseline and let that soak in for a while. I rubbed with a wash cloth. That helped some. Then I did the same thing with mineral oil. Lastly, I resorted to using a bar of Lava soap right on the areas and did the mineral oil again. It was a process and took the whole day, but I got 99% of it off.
Then she got a rash around her eyebrows for tugging on her skin so much.
We laugh about it now, but it wasn't funny at the time. She was a hot mess.

Anyway, I would try mineral or baby oil or vaseline.
It WILL come off.

Best wishes.

you can get color remover from the beauty supply store, otherwise it will just take a few days to come off on its own.

I dye my hair monthly. Vaseline is the key to keep the dye off your skin and clean any drips up with baby wipes. When you dye your skin try nail poilish remover and wipe the area with some water. The water neutrailzes the remover/possible burning.

No matter what, it'll wear off in a day or two depending on how oily your skin is. I usually dye my hair when I know I can get away with wearing a baseball hat the next day.

I use cigarette ashes mixed with hand soap or shampoo... and I use brilliant red dye and I'm very fair skinned.

I mix the two into a liquidy paste, rub into stains on skin and wash it off within 20 secs. Do not leave it on skin more than 30 seconds!!

Sugar scrub. Mix white sugar with your favorite body wash. I use it ALL the time. Also if you the Bath and Body Works lip buffer, that works well and it will take off lip stains too. Love sugar scrubs!
