I also had a c-section. It was almost two years ago. I still get those same kind of pains and am told there is nothing to worry about. I also have a co-worker who had her c-section over 20 years ago and gets those same pains.
I had to have an emergency c-secyion with my son, I am still having these pains in my stomache. They feel like someone is stabbing me in the stomachein the area where my scar from the incision is. I went back to the doctor who did the procedure and he simply told me to rub bengay on it, other people look at me like I'm crazy when I tell them that I am still having pains. Has anyone else experienced this?

I had stabbing pains from different positions that I was in for about the first year after my first c-section. Eventually it just went away. If it bothers, try to take some Advil and it might help, otherwise, if it starts hurting more and more, something is up, and I'd find another doctor to talk to. Sorry you are still having pains.
My c-section scar is going on 2 years old. It very sensitve... to the cold and the heat... it itches if I sweat and sometimes the skin feels like it's gonna rip, like when I am putting on lotion. There are still spots where I have little or no feeling. I think that it's just part of the normal effects. I don't think it should hurt quite that bad. The only problems I have heard of is abcesses and what not within the weeks after. You know your body and you know if it's just not right, seek a second opinon.
I have had three c-sections. Mylast one was over 4 yrs ago. I hae never had that happened. I mean Maybe for the first 3-4 months. I think you need to get a second opinion.
I think I'd be a bit worried about that after 2 years. It could be the scar tissue giving you problems. If it's that bad, I would definately say go to another dr and get a second oppinion. It never hurts to be safe. (some dr's don't seem to want to admit it could have been something they did or didn't do causing the pains) I've had 2 c/sections and don't have the problems your describing, but everyones different. I hope you get relief soon!
I have had 2 c-sections and having another in about 2 months. Due with my last child in April. I dont recall ever having a pain like that. How long has it been since your c-section? Is it infected??
It is scar tissue. I had a c-section and mine still hurts too. My son just turned three and I also have scars from surguries when I was 8 and they hurt sometimes. I see you are new to the area and looking to meet other moms. If you would like to get together for a play date with the kids that would be nice you can email me at ____@____.com and we can make arrangments from there.
Well, im no expert, but my sister had a c-section about a yr. ago, and the same thing was happening to her. It turned out she had a terrible infection, which turned into an ovarian cist, that they doctors didnt even catch (even w/ both kinds of ultraounds) until it burst and she had to go the emergency rm. It was terrible, but she waited so long to say anything- i think it could have been avoided if she had complained earlier.
I would say definately get a second opinion by a completely different doctor.
It is too bad we are moving away this weekend, we would have gotten along! I had an emergency C-section with my son who just turned 2 in Jan. as well!
Anyway, about the pain, I wouldn't think you would be having pain like that 2 yrs later. The nerves have to re-generate and the muscles are growing back together, which does sting and hurt, but I wouldn't think you'd have pain like stabbing still. Has it been going on for 2 yrs, or did it just start? I still have pain at times, if I bend a certain way or something, and I still have numbness around my scar, but I haven't flet anything like that since after the surgery. Does it feel better after you rub Bengay on it? If it persists, you may want to talk to your Dr. again.
