Gyno Question Help

I switched to a new gyno due to change in insurance and had a full check up and pap smear done. That was on Tuesday July 24th around 5 pm, it is now Thursday July 26th at 10:50 and I am still experiencing burning and discomfort as though I have either irritated the inside of my vagina or an infection. Was wondering if anyone else has experienced this before? Not sure what to do...was going to wait it out a few days to see if it gets better on its own.

What can I do next?

Welcome to mamapedia.
It always baffles me that a W. would go to the internet and ask medical questions instead of picking up the phone and call their doctor's office.

NO ONE here can examine you. YOU NEED TO CALL THE DOCTOR.

No. I've never experienced this. If I had? I would have called my doctor and let them know what was going on.

I've never experienced that, but the 2 things that occur to me offhand are either an allergy to the latex glove or an allergy to the lubricant the doctor may have used after the pap and before the pelvic exam. You're not new to these exams and you know your body. Call tomorrow. Don't wait it out.

I've never had that problem after an exam.
Call your doctors office and explain your issue.
They should be able to help you with it.

Why have you not called your Dr?

Your Dr is the person to ask, not strangers on the internet who can't possibly diagnose you.

Stay away from Dr. google!

Why don't you just pick up the phone and call the 24 hour nurse line?

try applying plain yogurt . . . another trick I learned from girlfriends in college is to get a clove of garlic (has antiseptic properties ) and remove paper husk. Make a tampon with a needle and thread for later removal. Insert it at bedtime.

The internet is not the right place to get answers to questions like this. Call your doctor.
