Does anybody know of a good gyn in or around LITH? I want to find a new one-- it doesnt matter the sex as long as they make you feel comfortable. Thanks

What can I do next?

I have to advise you to avoid Woman to Woman. I am 6 months pregnant and was going to WTW for about a year, seeing Dr Salus. I loved going to Dr Salus. When I got pregnant I saw all of the Drs in the practice. After voicing my desire to only see Dr Salus for the remainder of my pregnancy because I was having a scheduled c-section I got a letter from Dr Perlis, who is the head of the practice, telling me that they were discharging me as their patient. I never have heard of such behavior by Drs.! I am very disappointed that Dr Salus would work for a practice that would treat other women so badly.

Hi L.,

I am on south side of Crystal Lake and I see Dr. Perlis in CL. A few moms in my moms group go to her as well. Her office is by the post office off of Congress, it is called Woman to Woman.

good luck

I am not sure if you want to travel to McHenry, but if you are willing to then Dr. Stankevich is phenomenol! I have tried many OB/Gyne Drs and both male and female and he is the first one I have stuck with past the first or second appointment. He has been there for me through cancer, ovary and tube removal, many monthly issues and a high risk pregnancy. I see him a minimum of 2 times a year (because of the cancer I have to go more often) and he is very friendly and open. He puts me at ease and jokes when I need it or holds my hand when I need that too! He never once has complained or given attitude about calling me at 3 in the morning when I have had emergencies. 7 years ago when I wanted a complete hysterectomy he actually talked me out of it and explained EVERYTHING to me- in terms I could understand.I could go on and on since I just can not say enough good things about him!
His office number is ###-###-####

He also has a wonderful nurse practioner there- Anne. She has also given me great advice many times when I call in because I have a question or a problem too. She actually was with me for the majority of my labor before the C-section.

Good luck finding someone you are comfortable with! Many blessings!

I love my office. They are at about I-90 and Barrington Road (behind St. Alexius Hospital). My doc is Dr. Jeffery Wener, but I have seen the other 3 in his group as well. The name is Northwest Associates for Women's Healthcare. Phone is ###-###-####. Dr. Wener is the chief of OB at St. Alexius and another one in the group was on the Chicago's top 100 doctors list. I like all 4 of them (3 docs - 1 female, 2 male, and 1 female nurse midwife).
