I am looking for a well-run gymnastics class/program for a first grader with no gymnastics experience in or around Bloomington.

What can I do next?

TAGS in Eden Prairie. The next session starts next week. If you're interested -- call them to see if there are any openings.

Hi J.,
I take my daughter to Jefferson Gymnastics in Bloomington. I'm very impressed with how much they teach them. However, there are only girls in her class but I would guess they take boys as well.

It might be a little out of the way, but the gymnastics program through the community ed program in district 196 (Rosemount) is really well run. My daughters took it over the summer (1 day a week), and loved it so much they wanted to sign up for the next session. It starts in a week, so there may not be spots open right now, but you could check into it if you are interested. The Rosemount HS head gymnastics coach runs it and they really do work w/ each child at their level and group them with kids who are also at their level... and it doesn't cost a fortune like the club gymnastics, which is something I like. You can check it out online from the district196.org website and clicking on community education.
