We love it! He had a class once a week, and they had 3 "open gyms" during the week. Open gym, was where the place was open for an hour or two, just for kids to come and play. No class, just free time. We went to every open gym, so it worked out to using the place 4 rimes a week. It's not a bad price at all, considering we went so often. It was definitely clean. In fact, as soon as the class or open gym ends...we could see the lady come behind us starting to sanitize everything. My son really learned a lot about playing with others, and sharing and waiting your turn. It was helpful for us, because he is an only child.

Well each location may vary.
But here in my area, my kids loved it and it was clean and well run.
I liked the program.
Its nice for young kids/babies.
Yes, my kids learned... about group socializing, listening to direction, cooperation, and physical coordination, and songs.

My son went to Gymboree from 6 weeks old to about 18 months. I pulled him out because he seemed to get a little bored with it by then and I just had my daughter, so getting them both there seemed to be more trouble than it was worth. We loved it though and made some great friends that we still keep in touch with to this day. (He is now 3.5 years old.) The activities were fun and age appropriate. My son has always been very social, but I also give a lot of credit to this program for that. I meant to enroll my daughter in the program as well so she could experience it, but we have found other programs that she enjoys now. Definitely check out a class. It is a lot of fun for babies and mommies too! Good luck!

I took my son there for a couple of years, he loved it at first but as soon as it became a fight to go we stopped. I loved it for the interaction with other moms in my area, I still have a good friend I made and that was 4 years ago! Usually they will let you test a class out first before you sign up, just call your local gym to see what they offer. Plus, I learned a lot of really fun songs that I sing to my other babies. I'm actually going to be signing my 2yo up this fall when my older two start back to school, she'll be bored with just me so it'll give us both a little interaction with others:)

We took our daughter from about 2 months until 8 months and she loved it, but once she mastered crawling, she started to get a little bored. I think it was well worth the money and definitely contributed to her physical and social growth.
