I live in St. Paul, and I'm wondering if there are any local gyms or playgroups for 1 year olds? My little guy is so active--he's not walking yet--but he loves to climb stairs, pillows, push stuff around, etc. I think he's really enjoy going somewhere that has climbing activities, mats, big squishy blocks, etc. A good friend of mine who lives in another state takes her little ones to a local gym for activities. Does anyone know of a place or resource that I could look into? Thanks much!

Also we have a membership to the Children's Museum and their Habitot room is GREAT for the little guys.

The North Dale Rec Center is open Mon and Wed from 9-noon. It is a great way to let babies crawl/walk around. I also like that it is free. All of the rec centers in St Paul have open gym time. I just don't know the times/days. I'm sure you could find out online.

There is an open gym with things that you described on Dale Street south of Larpenteur Ave. in St. Paul. I think it is called the Dale Street Rec Center. If you go to the City website, you can find information on the hours etc. The best is that it is FREE!
It is open on Wednesday mornings for sure but may also be open other times as well.
