I just moved here to Lubbock. I have been couponing for 30 yrs. I found out that all the Albertson's have closed. Is there any grocery stores that double/triple coupons??? Or am I just going to have to adjust to coupons at face value only?? If I have no choice on the coupons where is the best place to go to shop for groceries/non food items?

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

I thank everyone for responding to my request on grocery stores here in lubbock!!! I have tried out united supermarket they are pretty good. And I called kmart about the doubling that they do. I sent a e-mail at kroger.com to see if they will consider putting at least one store here in lubbock!! There main office in cin. ohio called me personally and said they will check into putting a store here. They double coupons up to .50 cents and triple up to .39 cents. They also run quite often a huge 10 items for 10.00 dollars and you can mix and match the 10 for 10 things! With double coupons the coupon quite often exceeds the 1.00 price and you can get alot of items completely for FREE!!! That's why I am trying to get them interested in putting a store here. IF anyone would like to see an example of their ads you can go to kroger.com and bring up their ad even though they are not here yet. If anyone wishes to you can contact them by email by hitting contact us on their home page. There is more of a chance of them opening a store here in Lubbock because the more emails they get the more they will have to give more attention to opening a store HERE!!! Until then I will shop the suggested stores locally. Again I do thank everyone who answered my request!!!!!!! mamasource is really a great website with lots of help.

I'm also from Lubbock. Kmart recently started doubling coupons. I don't think its all the time though. they will advertise it. Most shop at Walmart or United. Sometimes Cvs/walgreens/Target have good specials, depending on what your looking for. CVS really has good 75% to 90% off sections &/or seasonal sales, if you find something you're looking forThere are also some Dollar Generals, Family Dollar and Dollar Tree(everything at Dollar Tree is $1, with exception of a few 2 or 3 for $1). There are even name brand products at Dollar tree like cleaning supplies, snacks, beauty products, etc. Hope this helps.

As far as I know, there is no where that doubles or triples coupons. I think the cheapest place to shop is the Wal-marts except for meats which United competes strongly for. Or buying in bulk at Sam's.

There are no grocery stores that double or triple here. Sam's is the best place for non perishable items or if you don't need large quantities then it is the Walmart.

Congrats on your move, I know Albertsons was about the only one that doubled coupons. Kmart will occasionally double but for a promotional period. You really have to watch adds instead. United used to match prices from other stores but they have quit doing that. I'm sorry, I wish we could compete with Dallas/Ft. Worth. I think that you will find United very nice. There are Marketstreets and the managers along with other workers will get to know you. They are very friendly.

Unfortunately, we do not have a store that doubles regularly. Occasionally, K-Mart will double up to a $2 value, but we have discovered their prices are much higher and they had poor selection.
You will also notice the attitude cashiers have in redeeming the coupons. I think they are just jealous.
